The number of men undergoing plastic surgery has dramatically increased over the past few years and the idea of plastic surgery being a “woman’s domain” is no longer the case.
Statistics show that Australians are spending roughly $1 billion a year collectively on plastic surgery procedures and cosmetic treatments. The figures by the ISAPS (The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) show a significant increase overall.
This is due to a number of factors including increased social acceptance of plastic surgery and an increasing competitive job market. With celebrities like Simon Cowell being open about his usage of wrinkle relaxers it is not uncommon to see men during a lunch break opting for dermal fillers or wrinkle relaxers.
Surgical procedures available for men range from male breast reduction (commonly referred to as “man boobs”) Liposuction or a Tummy Tuck to remove unwanted fat.
